The Embedded Software Engineer will create the strategy leading to the design, development and integration of a companywide effort to deploy proprietary software onto the company’s purpose built hardware devices that support bedside entertainment services within the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership with all Windows Embedded platforms used by the company to support all our customer environments
- Integrate and maintain Windows Embedded Standard platform software on x86 based systems
- Work with BIOS, firmware and hardware teams to design x86 Windows Embedded systems
- Develop design specifications based on engineering requirements
- Define and maintain style guidelines, programming standards and reusable libraries
- Create and execute a deployment strategy for kiosk hardware deployment using his/her extensive knowledge with embedded software engineering projects
- Establish standards, conventions, processes and procedures for build and release engineering related activities
- Design software based on the company’s objectives that satisfy customer hardware and software objectives for deploying an embedded system solution
- Create the software that can easily be tailored to deploy kiosks across multiple venues and in combination with multiple projects
- Manage source repositories and branches using GIT
- Perform an advisory role to the company’s owners and its technical executive to explain embedded systems industry standards in support of corporate objectives
- Support software development efforts and project plans with scheduled dependencies and target dates
- Collaborate with cross functional teams on product design and development projects
