For more information, visit http://www.hidglobal.comThe Embedded Firmware Engineer IV position in the Government Identity Group (GovID) at HID Global is tasked with embedded firmware design, implementation and test on optical security encoding devices.
 
The qualified candidate will bring working knowledge of code development and best practice design patterns for embedded development on real-time electro-mechanical devices. This position is for a team player on a newly formed, multidisciplined engineering team, based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
• Design and implementation of new embedded firmware applications in C and C#
• Debug and design to low level hardware interfaces, including review and analysis of electronic design schematics
• Design and implementation of engineering-level software written in C#
• Develop NUnit test fixtures in C#
• Review and Maintain existing code base
• Documentation and cross functional training of low level concepts
• Play a vocal role in design and code reviews
• Selects 3rd party companies for subcontracting, provides the statements of work and signs off the partner deliverables
• Successful candidate appreciates beautiful code, gets upset by bad design choices and is fearless enough to tinker with real-time electro-mechanical systems
